What are dental veneers?
Veneers are wafer-thin, tooth-shaped pieces of porcelain. Custom-made to fit your teeth, porcelain veneers generally last longer than composite resin. They are bonded to the fronts of your teeth to change the look of your smile and protect the surface of your teeth from further damage and discolouration.

Because porcelain veneers permanently change the look of your smile for the better, we follow a process to ensure an optimal outcome.
First, you and your dentist will meet to decide which parts of your smile you'd like to improve. Provided you are a good candidate for veneers, the dentist will prepare your tooth by removing half a millimetre of enamel before taking impressions, which will be sent to a lab.
The veneers will then be custom-made to fit your tooth and your mouth. They will be affixed to your teeth using cement resin. Generally, this process takes at least two visits to our dental office.
